ADDIS ABABA: October 23 (EI) – Ethiopian Airlines Group on Wednesday launched an innovative capacity development initiative that envisaged creating local value in agricultural products.
The newly launched development initiative mainly aimed “to support Ethiopian cooperative unions comprising millions of farmers with innovations and technology, thereby ensure their international market penetration.”
According to Tewolde GebreMariam, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, the initiative would help transform the livelihood of Ethiopian farmers.
“We are delighted to have launched the initiative, which is geared towards enhancing the livelihood of Ethiopian farmers as well as supporting them in competing in the global market place,” an Ethiopian

Ethiopian currently commands the lion’s share of the Pan-African passenger and cargo network operating to 125 international passenger and cargo destinations across five continents.
