ADDIS ABABA: Aug. 20 (EI) – The Ethiopian government on Tuesday announced its plan to commemorate the first-ever National Justice Day next month.
The first-ever National Justice Day, which is set to be commemorated on September 10, will recognize personalities that contributed to Ethiopia’s ongoing reforms in the justice sector, the Ethiopian Federal Attorney General disclosed on Tuesday.
The national event is also expected to mobilize awareness among the general public and justice bodies, it was noted.
Attorney General Public Relations Director, Zinabu Tunu, told reporters in a press briefing said that the upcoming event will feature various activities in the presence of senior high-level Ethiopian government officials on a national level.
The closing day of the month-long national event, September 10, is also expected to bring together some 15,000 Ethiopians from all walks of life to the capital Addis Ababa at the Millennium Hall.
This justice month in Ethiopia is being marked with panel discussions, creative arts shows, exhibitions and other awareness creation activities until the closing National Justice Day.
