ADDIS ABABA (EI): Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has been re-elected as president of Ethiopia’s ruling Prosperity Party (PP) during its second congress in Addis Ababa.
The congress, which began on Friday, also saw the election of Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh and Adem Farah as vice presidents.
In his opening address, Abiy highlighted the party’s achievements in economic transformation and political reform, emphasizing the importance of innovation and engagement in addressing Ethiopia’s long-standing challenges.
