ADDIS ABABA: At least six people were killed when a warehouse collapsed in Addis Ababa on Saturday, according to police.
Yibekal Temere, a local police official, said the incident occurred inside Mercatto open market on Saturday afternoon, when a warehouse, which belongs to the government housing agency, collapsed and killed six people while also injuring seven others, Ethiopian News Agency (ENA) reported.
Police said the seven people, who have sustained minor and serious physical injuries, are presently receiving medical treatment.
Meanwhile, police said the cause of the incident is yet unknown and investigations are still underway to determine its cause.
