ADDIS ABABA: A traffic accident in Ethiopia’s central Oromia regional state has left at least 11 people dead, an Ethiopian official said on Friday.
Head of Health Office, Sebeta city in Ethiopia’s Oromia regional state, Abdurazak Ahmed, said the traffic accident happened on Friday afternoon when a transport mid-bus travelling on the road collided with a dump truck traveling on the opposite side of the road leaving at least 11 people dead.
Ahmed said a further seven people who suffered serious injuries in the deadly traffic accident are receiving medical treatment in nearby medical institutions, reported state owned media outlet Ethiopia News Agency (ENA).
Local authorities are currently investigating the possible causes of the deadly traffic accident.
