“We will be showcasing various Jewelry designers in the growing gemstone industry, which has the potential to play a major role in the local and global fashion market,” the organizers said on Monday.

The organizers also said that Hyatt Regency Hotel in Addis Ababa as the event’s partner that will host most of HAFW 2019 programs, including the runway shows, exhibition and our pop-op marketplace.

Designers who took part in previous editions of the event, among other things, were able to display their works in various international and regional events, such as the New York African Fashion Week, Berlin Fashion Week.

Participation in such international events has helped African designers to “connect with international buyers and media, and growing their brands to the global market,” the organizers said.
